TRANSIL Intestinal Absorption Kit

A ready-to-use kit for rapid in vitro assessment of drugs' ability to cross the intestinal epithelium

A novel ready-to-use kit designed for rapid assessment of drug candidates' ability to cross the intestinal epithelium. The kit only requires the addition of drug candidates to the microtiter wells followed by a 2-minute incubation. The affinity of the drug candidate is a measurement of its passive transport in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract.

Benefits

  • Fast, requiring only 2 minutes for incubation.
  • Accurate. Measures the affinity of the drug candidate to biological membrane. Captures permeability differences that result from different ionization states of drug candidates, enabling prediction of the fraction absorbed.
  • Reliable with highly reproducible results, and robust correlation to vesicle dialysis.
  • Ready-to-use format plated in 96-well or ready-to-use tubes in strips of 8. Kit requires only addition of test material, 2-minute incubation, and quantification.
  • Flexible. Adaptable to automation.
