Recombinant human Cbp / PAG Source:
Expressed in E. coli. DNA sequence encoding intracellular domain
of human Cbp/ PAG (amino acids 41- 432) was fused with a His tag
at the N-terminus.
Description:
Csk binding protein, also known as PAG (Phosphoprotein
Associated with Glycosphingolipid-enriched microdomains) is a
ubiquitously expressed transmembrane adaptor protein present in
membrane rafts. Cbp/PAG has a pivotal role in the assembly of
negative regulators in these membrane domains.
Cbp/PAG consists of a short extracellular domain (16 to 18 residues), a transmembrane domain (20 residues), and a large cytoplasmic domain (387 to 396 residues); it contains ten tyrosine residues, nine of which are potential substrates for Src kinases, and two proline-rich regions.
