Biotix offers a wide array of premium quality tubes for your
most demanding research needs. We offer 0.2ml and 0.6ml
thin-wall PCR tubes as well as 0.2ml microtube strips available
with either attached or detached caps. All of our thin-wall
tubes allow for efficient heat transfer and fast cycling times,
and are compatible with standard 96-well heat blocks.
Our Neptune� brand 1.6ml microcentrifuge tubes are ideal for a
wide array of laboratory procedures. Available in both clear and
assorted colors these tubes can withstand up to 24,000 RCF and
are boil proof up to 30 minutes. They are also available in
Biotix�s proprietary S3 polymer designed to maximize sample
recovery. We also offer a fine selection of cryovials and
cryotubes designed for cryogenic sample storage. Available with
and without locking bases these tubes feature special thread
designs and silicone O-rings to ensure long term storage for
your samples.
Biotix is pleased to offer the Neptune� brand Mini-tube system
designed for labs in need of the functionality of a tube but
require the 96-well format for robotics. The system features a
rack with standard 8 x 12 format with preracked 1.1ml, 8 or 12
strip mini-tubes. Product is available in both sterile and
non-sterile formats.
All of our products are manufactured under stringent controls in
our ISO 9001:2000 certified automated facility. Our
manufacturing process continually monitors the quality of the
product by visual examination with magnification for defects,
contamination, or process damage. All of our
sterile packaged products are electron beam irradiated in an
electronically controlled process, and are tested by 14 day
cultures to monitor pre and post irradiation bacterial and
fungal bio-loads.
Our newest product offering is our Neptune� brand centrifuge
tubes. Available in both 15 and 50ml sizes these high quality
polypropylene tubes are designed to withstand up to 9400 RCF.
Our tubes are stamped with specially formulated inks which are
fully autoclavable and resistant to most laboratory solvents.

The 0.2ml PCR 8 Strip Microtubes with attached caps feature a
uniform thin-wall design for accelerated heat transfer and short
cycling times. Product features a dome shaped cap to ensure
adequate contact with the lid of a thermal cycler. Attached caps
resolve concernswith cross contamination that may come from the
misalignment of strip caps.
The microtube strip�s distance from tube to tube is compatible
with standard 96 well heat blocks. These strip tubes are
composed of virgin polypropylene and are fully autoclavable
(121�C, 15psi for 15 minutes). |

The 0.2ml PCR 8 or 12 Strip Microtube with detached cap features
the same uniform thin wall design for accelerated heat transfer
and short cycling times as our attached cap strips, catalog #
3428.8. Sold separately, our strip caps (Catalog # 3427.8)
incorporate the dome shape to ensure an adequate seal with the
thermal cycler lid. Detached strip caps provide peace of mind
because they are disposable and allow for a fresh cap strip
after each tube opening.

seal cap ensure a positive leakproof seal, time after time,
retaining sample integrity under even the most adverse
conditions. They are ideal for freezer storage, centrifugation

Standard screw-cap tubes use neoprene O-rings and are designed
for general laboratory use down to -80�C. Below this temperature
the neoprene fails to offer an effective seal. Cryotubes and

Tube are designed for the storage of biological material at
temperatures as low as -190�C, but should be stored in the gas
phase of liquid nitrogen. The cap features a long skirt for one
hand aseptic techniques, and our thread design allows tightening
or removal with a mere 1 1/4 turn. A specially designed lip
inside the cap ensures a leak-proof seal. The cap and tube are
made of virgin polypropylene with matched thermal coefficients
to further ensure leak proof performance.
Cryotubes vs Cryovials
Cryovials are the traditional storage container and come in 5
sizes including large volume 3-5ml vials. Cryotubes feature the
same dimensions as standard screw-cap tubes and a centrifugation
collar for easy spins. The smaller diameter also allows you to
store 19 more samples per standard cryo box. Both cryostorage
containers feature medical grade silicone O-rings and other
features to ensure secure long term storage of your precious
cells.
Liquid vs Vapor Phase Storage
All cryogenic containers are designed for vapor phase storage,
but can withstand contact with liquid phase nitrogen. We advise
against routine liquid phase storage because of the phase change
explosive potential of liquid
N2 when exposed to room temperatures. |

Neptune� brand 15 and 50ml Centrifuge Tubes are manufactured
from virgin polypropylene and are designed to handle the rigors
of everyday lab work. Tubes feature easy to read graduation
marks and ample writing space that measures 20mm wide by 50mm in
length.
The 15ml tube has black graduation markings from 1.5 to 15ml and
is centrifuge speed rated to 6,000 RCF. The 50ml tube has
graduation markings for measurements of 5-50ml and is centrifuge
speed rated to 9,400 RCF. All tubes include a flat top rim seal
cap manufactured from highdensity polyethylene. The top of the
cap has a frosted writing surface for labeling. Biotix�s
engineers incorporated large ridges for increased grip when
wearing gloves and a 3/4-turn closure, thereby increasing speed
and allowing for one-handed operation.

Mini-tube System |

This system provides you with pre-racked 1.1ml strip minitubes
in standard 96-well format. This is an ideal system for
microplate to tube transfer or manual to robotic process
transfer. The Minitube System provides you with pre-racked
1.1ml, 8 strip minitubes; an ideal system for microplate to tube
transfers or manual to robotic process transfer.
The system features a standard 8 x 12 format for convenient,
multichannel pipetting, and the alpha-numeric labeled,
non-reversing rack and lid ensure positive sample
identification. Condensation rings above each tube minimize
cross contamination between wells, and the system is completely
autoclavable (except for optional mini-cap strips). The rack
base is fully compatible with all popular robotic instruments. |
